The drive test

What the evaluator writes down.

Four manoeuvres decide most California drive tests. Press one and watch the route taught in every lesson.

Parallel Park

Pull level with the car in front of the space and sit about a metre off it. Reverse on full lock until you are round 45 degrees, straighten, then opposite lock brings the tail in and the car comes out parallel. The examiner is marking your mirror and blind-spot checks at least as closely as the car.

  1. Pull alongside the car in front of the space.
  2. Reverse on full lock to 46°.
  3. Opposite lock swings the tail in.
  4. Straighten up and centre in the space.

Every instructor here has driven the examiner routes in Sacramento County more times than they can count.

Both of my kids learned to drive here — great instructors and very professional!

Sara M. · Roseville

I had a speeding ticket and needed to take traffic school fast. This course was super easy and I got my certificate the same day.
